A fabulous story, and such a beautiful film -- the landscapes, the dogs, the wonderful footage at the agility competitions, it's a heartwarming account of a dog's journey, and is visually a treat from beginning to end. I really liked the inclusion of the social media comments...we have three Scotties because we fell in love with the breed after seeing Hitchcock's videos a decade ago. I did not realize how many other people had done the same; after watching the film, I realized I wasn't just part of a fandom, but part of a family. Thank you for making this film, and for sharing your extraordinary Scotties with us.

What a wonderful following of life with Scotties. The film certainly touches all emotions. The quality shows the dedication you had with this
I remember following Hitch over the years via the internet, he truly was magnificent.
All of your Scotties have been. Even though I have never met any of you in person you are all like extended family., I absolutely loved the film. Congratulations!

Absolutely loved the movie! Your hard work was quite evident in both getting Hitch to that level of competition and in the making of a true love story. Very emotional, the telling of Hitch's surgeries and death heart wrenching. It also brought back feelings of losing my own Scotties. My eyes did not recover for a couple of days!

We lost our precious black Scottie in November, so watching the film was very emotional. Beautifully filmed, and a wonderful tribute to Scottish Terriers, a truly under appreciated breed. I loved watching all your adventures with your beautiful boys and girls, and I'm inspired to do some more traveling. Hopefully, we'll be getting a new Scottie in the Spring, and we'll start some new adventures.

Beautiful movie. Our family watched it tonight— me, my husband and my 24 year old daughter —and we all loved it. We have a brindle Scottie boy so we were very interested in your dogs, of course! The scenes and wildlife are stunning. The dogs are amazing. The storytelling is interesting and fun. Great job from Kentucky USA.

My husband, our scottie Archie, and I just finished the film (in California). I follow on Instagram (@Rthur17) and Youtube, so I was waiting for this documentary for a while It was so much fun to see other Scotties and how their behaviors can either be or feel similar to what Archie does. Specifically, the silliness and love are great to watch. Having lost our previous scottie in 2021, we felt the loss of your dogs as we watched. Thank you for a remarkable film. We hope many more people get to watch. We are telling others to watch,

    Kisses from our four Scotties!!

All Because of Hitch is pure magic.
I have just finished watching it, and it is nothing short of a perfect masterpiece. A story about one small, unbelievably brave Scottie named Hitch and his extraordinary family. A story about the breed itself, about the special “Scottie” character, about achievements of both people and their dogs, about journeys, about devotion, and about that great, mysterious love between dogs and humans. About the reason (and we all know it, don’t we?) why dogs come into our lives and stay in our hearts forever. A great film about Scotties, made with impossibly big love.
Everything promised in the short description word is absolutely true: you laugh, you cry, and then you laugh again. Your Scotties would love it too.
And yes—after this movie, I am certain the number of Scotties named Hitch will grow. Just like Lassie once did for Collies. With one important difference: Hitch was real. And he will remain forever in the hearts of everyone who knew him or simply knew about him.
Rest in wonderful memories, great Hitch.
Rest in wonderful memories, great Finnlay.

I just watched the film. I knew it would be great but it far surpassed my expectations! The love story between Michael, Bettina and their Scotties just touched my heart. You made me wish I was one of your Scotties!
The cinematography was stunning and the music was perfect. And Finn did a great job narrating the story!
Thank you so much for making this beautiful film about Hitch! We all miss watching his amazing agility runs but you have now secured his place in agility history. I love you guys!
And I will be watching it again this weekend!!!

Feedback from private screening

It has been a long time since I have been so immersed in a film. I enjoyed how you structured the film, how you were able to convey excitement, enthusiasm and passion (during training sessions and competitions) time and time again. At times, it was almost unbearable, so emotional were all the impressions. But you also perfectly managed the transitions from the exciting competitions to the quiet, beautiful, funny moments with your Scotties. It was a pleasure to be able to sit back a little during these moments and look forward to the next rise in tension. I was also impressed by how you accompanied the different moments in the film with the appropriate music With your masterpiece, you touched and moved the guests so much that here and there handkerchiefs were brought out. BRAVO!

Eugen

Your creativity, knowledge and dedication are not only reflected in every detail, but also lend the entire work a special depth. The way in which you incorporate your experiences and emotions into this project touches and inspires.

Your film touched me so deeply that I couldn't find the right words. I didn't expect to be both enthralled and moved to tears. To be honest, I was really excited during the agility scenes and cried so much over Hitch's fate... I was particularly struck by how happy you are/have been. This film is a multifaceted masterpiece. Hitch's life is recounted with great humour by his friend Finn. We are allowed to share in the lives of Hitch and his whole family, and we cheer, laugh and cry along with everyone involved. It's an emotional rollercoaster, accompanied by wonderful footage of dogs, nature and people.

An extremely moving film that stirs up all kinds of emotions. You experience funny, amazing, sad and beautiful moments with the Scotties – all set against the fantastic landscapes of Switzerland, England and Scotland. The film lasted 100 minutes, but you would have loved to spend twice as long with the Scotties.

Phyllis

A wonderful, emotional film full of beautiful images. Even if you're not a dog lover, it's never boring and very touching. I haven't cried so much at a film in a long time! Not cheesy, just beautiful.

Before seeing the film, I wasn't aware of the fame and enthusiasm Hitchcock had generated across the globe during his lifetime. Seeing how important Hitch was not only to you, but to many others, was very inspiring.

I really enjoyed the film and found it moving. The music was fitting and emotional, always perfectly suited to the scenes. You find yourself getting excited, happy or sad along with the characters. At the same time, it makes you want to go on a journey yourself.

Hitch's story was touching, but also made us laugh again and again! There wasn't a dull moment. The landscape shots were simply magnificent. I was particularly amazed by the athletic aspect of agility, and even as a non-dog owner, I enjoyed the film.
