CHECK TO ENSURE YOU ARE ON A FREE PLAN

If you created the vimeo account the way I supposed it, it will be and stay a free membership. You can check through the smiley icon on top of the vimeo page - go to settings and then you see on the left your emailaddress, User ID and Membership: free - then you are for sure on a free plan (to avoid that you accidently selected a test period for a future paid plan)

WHY IS IT FOR RENT AND NOT TO BUY

At the end of the rental period, you will receive an automatic email from Vimeo offering you the opportunity to “buy” the film — I cannot change this email, but we are currently unable to sell the movie permanently for the following reason.

We are independent filmmakers who worked for over three years without salary and had to pay for music rights, voice actors, animations, etc. to create this 1:40 hour film. To get an idea what it means to create such a film, see Making-of

We would like to give a potential distributor the opportunity to bring the film to theaters or a major streaming platform. For this reason, we ask for your understanding that we cannot currently sell the film “permanently.” The same applies to DVD/Blu-ray.

FOR THE BEST VIEWING EXPERIENCE

Ensure you watch the film somewhere with a fast, stable internet connection.
Please watch the film on a large screen or project it onto a screen/ white wall with a good audio/sound system.
Watch the film in full-screen mode if you are watching it on a computer (the full-screen button is the icon at the bottom right with the four arrows pointing to all four corners).
Before starting, ensure that the resolution (quality) is at least 1080p and change it if necessary using the cog icon (see screen shot below). If you have a fast internet connection, you can increase the resolution to 2K or 4K, but there should be no interruptions; otherwise, select a lower resolution.
